Paloma Zabala

Paloma is a 4th year doctoral student at American University working in the Interpersonal Emotion Lab examining borderline personality disorder through a cultural lens. Paloma has clinical experience in person-centered/humanistic and psychodynamic approaches as well as evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Unified Protocol (UP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and comprehensive Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with adults. She previously trained at the DC VAMC in the Intensive Outpatient Program conducting group and individual therapy. Paloma aims to create a warm and supportive environment for clients to be challenged to grow and create lives that are worth living.
