Erin Neal

Erin Neal is a third-year Clinical Psychology PhD student at Howard University, born and raised in the DMV area. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Art, from Salisbury University. Following graduation, Erin served as a middle school mathematics teacher, an experience that continues to shape her clinical work and research interests. As an artist working in drawing, watercolor, knitting, and crocheting mediums, she hopes to integrate expressive arts into therapeutic interventions for children. Her professional focus is on advocating for children’s mental health and fostering collaboration between educational and mental health systems to ensure equitable opportunities for all children to learn and pursue limitless educational experiences.
