Liz spent several years in a classroom environment as an elementary special education teacher working with students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. A firm believer in child led learning, Liz took her expertise out of the classroom and spent several years facilitating child-directed, outdoor, play-based learning classes before supporting families receiving early intervention services as a developmental therapist. Liz believes that mental health and well-being are critical components of the education process for children, families, and educators. Liz’s clinical interests include utilizing trauma-informed practices and mindfulness in a classroom setting to build communities where students and teachers feel welcome and valued.
