Elsa Baumgartner

Elsa Baumgartner is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at American University and a graduate student extern with the MedStar Georgetown WISE Center, where she provides individual and group therapy to elementary students and supports educators through whole-school well-being programming. Her clinical and research interests center on emotion regulation, interpersonal relationships, and how trauma and early adversity shape mental health. She is especially interested in program evaluation and in bringing accessible, evidence-based care into the communities where children and families learn and grow.
