Han Yu

Han Yu is a Psy.D. doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at George Washington University. She aims to become a licensed psychologist to provide ethical and culturally sensitive diagnostic and therapeutic services to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families of all backgrounds. Han has experience in integrative psychotherapy with a psychodynamic focus and psychological assessment to clarify referral questions about learning difficulties, ADHD, emotional functioning, and behavioral or personality functioning. She is the co-leader of a Women's Process Group. She conceptualizes cases with both DSM-V and PDM-2. She locates each individual based on their socio-political background and identity. Han has an interest in topics including but not limited to: intersectionality, trans-inclusive feminism, comprehensive psychological assessment (neuropsyc testing & projective tests), LGBTQIA issues, health disparities, trauma, and sociocultural resilience factors. Han is bilingual in Chinese and was born and raised in South China. She graduated from a historically women's college (now trans- & nonbinary- inclusive), Bryn Mawr College with a B.A. in Psychology, and Teachers College, Columbia University with an M.A. in Developmental Psychology.
